Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence is a male sexual problem in which, a man is either unable to achieve an erection or is not able to maintain a strong enough erection for the entire sexual intercourse. If a man isn’t able to do that, the woman cannot be satisfied with sex and may get frustrated. She may even humiliate or criticise him about this which can further become embarrassing for the man.
Erectile dysfunction is when the blood flow to the penis is obstructed due to some or the other reason. When the blood flows to the penis, the sponge-like corpora cavernosa chambers of the penis get inflated and we experience an erection.
The erectile dysfunction symptoms can be easily observed and if you do so, you should not delay in getting an impotence treatment. Here are some of the erectile dysfunction symptoms.
Erectile dysfunction symptoms
Erection problems: If you find out that it is difficult for you to achieve an erection or if you get one, you are unable to keep it on for a longer time even if you are sexually aroused; you may have erectile dysfunction.
Morning erections: If you get problems of having regular normal morning erections, it is a sign of impotence. You should go to the doctor and get your problem checked.
Anxiety: Impotence can lead to anxiety, depression and stress; sometimes frustration too. Sex is actually a stress buster and can relieve you of your stress and frustration, but if you get depressed or stressed after sex, you may have erectile dysfunction.
Low self-esteem: When you are not able to get an erection during sex, it leaves your partner dissatisfied; this may lead to embarrassment and criticism by partner. This may lower down your self confidence and self-esteem.
Relationship problems: An impotent man is low on self-esteem and self-confidence and thus, may be facing relationship problems with his partner as his partner cannot get full satisfaction after sex. Sometimes, impotence can also lead to break-ups or infidelity.
Avoidance of sex: When a man is having erectile dysfunction or erectile problems, he might avoid the risk of embarrassment and stop having sex in the future. He might completely avoid sex for his entire lifetime.
Above mentioned problems are some of the common symptoms of impotence, if you have any of them, you should start taking impotence treatments as soon as possible.
